Shipping, Returns & Healthy Arrival Guarantee Policy

1. Purchase Agreement

A purchase agreement becomes binding only once the order confirmation email has been sent. Until this confirmation is issued, any order placed by the customer constitutes a non-binding offer, as availability may vary due to the nature of living products and individual selection.

2. Shipping Times

To ensure the best possible condition of our bonsai trees and living plants, shipments are dispatched exclusively from Monday to Wednesday. This avoids plants remaining in transit over the weekend.

Once payment is received:

  • A shipping confirmation and tracking number are sent within 6 hours

  • The parcel is collected by the courier on the next business day

  • Delivery usually takes 2–3 business days, depending on the destination

Under this system, delivery occurs:

  • As early as 3 days after ordering (orders placed Sunday–Tuesday)

  • No later than 7 days after ordering (orders placed on Thursday)

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs depend on the destination and are clearly displayed at checkout before payment.

4. Healthy Arrival Guarantee

At Treevaset, we stand behind the quality and care of our bonsai trees.

We offer a Healthy Arrival Guarantee, meaning that your bonsai is guaranteed to arrive alive, healthy, and in good condition.

What this guarantee covers:

  • Severe damage caused during transport

  • Bonsai arriving in a clearly unhealthy or non-viable condition

Conditions:

  • Any issue must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

  • Clear photographic evidence of the bonsai and packaging is required

  • The bonsai must not have been repotted, pruned, or altered before reporting the issue

If the claim is valid, Treevaset will offer:

  • A replacement bonsai, or

  • A full or partial refund, at our discretion

This guarantee applies only to the condition upon arrival.

5. Nature of Living Products

Bonsai trees are living organisms. Their appearance may naturally change over time due to:

  • Seasonal cycles

  • Climate adaptation

  • Growth patterns

Natural changes such as leaf drop, dormancy, or delayed budding do not constitute defects and are not grounds for refunds once the bonsai has been accepted as healthy upon arrival.

6. Right of Withdrawal & Returns

In accordance with EU consumer law, customers generally have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

However, this right may be limited or excluded in the following cases:

  • Living plants that deteriorate rapidly

  • Bonsai trees that have been improperly cared for after delivery

  • Products that have been repotted, pruned, wired, or otherwise modified

  • Products returned in a condition different from their original state

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless otherwise required by law.

7. Refunds

Refunds are processed only after the returned item has been received and inspected.

  • Refunds correspond to the amount paid, including any discounts applied

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless legally required

  • Treevaset reserves the right to refuse refunds if improper care or handling is evident

8. Individually Selected & Prepared Bonsai

All bonsai trees sold by Treevaset are individually selected, carefully prepared, and stabilized prior to shipment.

Each bonsai is handled by experienced growers to ensure:

  • Proper hydration and health before dispatch

  • Safe packaging adapted to the specific tree

  • Readiness for transport and acclimation

Due to this individualized selection and preparation process, bonsai trees cannot be considered mass-produced or standardized products. As living organisms, their appearance may naturally vary and evolve.

Returns or refunds may be limited or excluded where the bonsai:

  • Has been altered, repotted, pruned, or otherwise modified after delivery

  • Has not been cared for according to the provided guidelines

  • Is returned in a condition different from its original shipped state

9. Force Majeure

Treevaset is not liable for delays or delivery failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, logistical disruptions, extreme weather, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.
