The workshop voucher is personal, with their name on it — no expiry, no fixed date. 1-to-1 sessions can be gifted too: just say so in the form.

Is a bonsai a good gift for a complete beginner?
Yes — if it’s the right tree with the right support. Hardy outdoor species survive beginner mistakes; that’s why our Starter Kits pair one with the tools and instructions. What fails is the impulse-bought indoor “bonsai” with no guidance.
Should I give a tree, or let them choose?
If they’ve never grown bonsai, a kit makes the choice for them — that’s the point. If they already have trees, a voucher for a workshop or 1-to-1 session beats guessing their taste.
How does gifting the workshop work?
Fill in the workshop form and tick “this is a gift”, using your own contact details — Luca writes to you, not them. He prepares a personal voucher with their name on it, with no expiry and no fixed date. When they’re ready, they book their day directly with him.
Can you deliver a bonsai gift anywhere in Europe?
We ship to 18 EU countries. Trees are packed for transport by a professional grower and arrive ready to be given — or we can ship directly to the recipient.
What if they already have bonsai trees?
Skip the tree — they have opinions about trees. Gift them time with a professional instead: a workshop day or a 1-to-1 session on their own material is the present enthusiasts actually want.
